Hello all,
Hope you had another fun and eventful week in wargaming. For me not so much, had a bit of burn out at the start of the week. However the last few days have been fast paced painting of Orks (still of the Space Crusade Variety.) I have been watching a lot of videos from a speed painter on YouTube about painting with washes (Miguel Garcia Fernandez HeroQuest Series). The skin and shoulder pads have been painted with washes after a zenithal undercoat (kinda, probably too much white for that term). Once I decided on the rest of the colours for the Ork's clothing (Thanks for the Suggestion from my close friends Spud and Adam). Also from a meme about a stealthy Ork wearing purple... This is what I came up with:
Amazing the difference one colour makes to the look of a project, going from looking very unfinished to looking almost ready for the table. The boots were also painted using washes (although I think I might need to add another layer of Nuln Oil to them. Lastly for now some Leadbelcher for the metallic parts.
So until next week here is the last WIP shot of the unit:
Thanks
Dan (DeathBringa) Cain.

Da Boss is here! So look busy
Hi all,
Just a quick post with a small progress update for my Orks....
I have finished converting the 2 Ork Nobs that are going to leading the trukk boyz.
I have decided to go for a slightly German look in these two squads, so I have given them Orc officer heads that are from basicks and I think they look the part.
What ya think?

Battle of the 11th Legion, 600 points Progress report (Orks)
This is just a very short progress update on the Orks for the Battle of the 11th Legion, As I am sure a lot of you are aware that you have to be in the right kind of mood to paint sometimes...
Anyway got back into the mood late this evening (about 22:30) and I have made a little progress on the Ork WeirdBoy. made a start on the bone coloured bits and his chains and staff. As you can see below:
Now I am having most of the 11Th Legion over for a hobby day on Saturday so hopefully I will get some shots of what the other guys are working on (unless they post them themselves...) I find these kind of hobby days useful as they help you get back on track with what ever your current project is especially if you work full time like most of the 11Th Legion....
All being well I will start painting the WeirdBoy's unit of Ork Shoota Boys, and who knows, even the Lootas will get some paint on them!
Also what do you all think of the new banner?? I think its great, and it was made for us. So thanks.
One final note, we are now on the Faeit212 blog roll, so check him out (unless you came here from his blog, in which case you already know), great blog with logs of good rumours, and good gaming articles.
anyway thats all from me for now,

Battle of the 11th Legion, 600 points Progress report (Space Marines)
Hello everybody,
So I am been told my evil counter part Deathbringa has posted his sneaky dirty greenskin list up.
Well I will post my 600point army list and the the WIP's of the army up to date.
With it been 600 points I wanted my list as kinda search army. As this be the 1st time I encounter the Orks I did't want it too elitey. I wanted a quick and easy list just to slow down the pesky orks from there main invasion.

The sterngaurd have had a small ajusment to there bolter with the rod on the barrel just to look like the have special bolters to the other marines in the army.
I would love hear what you guys think. I will be cracking on with some tactical marines and sterngaurd this week. Then work towards building my drop-pod. I still need to buy a Razorback Or as I have 4 rhinos and 1 whirlwind already I would like to convert one of the previous models with magnets so I can swap the hatch around game to game.
Thank you so much for reading.
Peace Spud

Battle of the 11th Legion, 600 points Progress report (Orks)
Well, its been quite a while since my last post and I thought it was about time that I posted what I have been busy doing with my Orks.
We are going to build our 600 point list using a slightly modified force organisation chart, with max 1 HQ and Min 1 troop with the rest being normal.
So I decided to use the following list:
WeirdBoy: Warphead
15 Ork Shoota boys: Nob: Eavy Armour, Boss Pole, Big Shoota, Power Klaw
BattleWagon: Kannon, Big Shoota, Deff Rolla, Grot Riggers
2 DeffKoptas: Twin-Linked Rokkit Launchas
1 WarBuggy: Twin-Linked Rokkit Launcha
8 Lootas
Here's a few pics of my progress:

Battle of the 11th Legion Introduction.
Its time to explain in a bit more detail what we have planned for the Battle of the 11th Legion.
I will be building a Ork Speedfreak army, while Spud will be taking the venerable Crimson Fists....

The Battle of the 11th Legion
''The time has come for the mighty Crimson Fists to defend them selves from the Green tide.''
Sealamin Tarmikos 2nd Company Captain of the 8th Sternguard
Hello everyone,
Thank you for everybodys support so far for the 11th Legion. Myself (Spud) and the other lads have been coming up with a plan over the last few days to make and create our own campaign. Using the current 40k rulebook with minor tweaks. Most the ideas are still in pencil at the moment but we will keep you updated.
Some of the interests in 11th Legion campaign:
- 5 Campaign Games all with battle reports
- Army modelling/painting progress reports
- Hero experiance
Thank you for reading.

Ork Warbuggy scratch build (WIP) part 3
Well this model has been on the back burner for quite some time, mainly because it took me a while to get the right size plastic rod, and then there was tournaments to prepare for etc... the list of excuses go on and on.
I managed to find a solution for the Rokkit Launcher problem, in the form of a Rokkit launcher from one of my old GorkaMorka vehicles (that will probably never see the light of day!) I have then proceeded to go a bit rivet crazy...

Ork Warbuggy scratch build (WIP) part 2
Well a bit more progress, almost done,
Used some corrigated card on the back to break up the smoothness, it could be part of the engine. I have also started on some exhausts and a spoiler, after all it is for a kult of speed list....
And I have added bumper, and some more plastic strips to add a bit of detail.

Ork Warbuggy scratch build (WIP) part 1
Well with the Blood Angels almost finished, I decided that I would focus on one of my other armies that have been neglected. There is quite a few of them.... Eldar, White Scars, Tyranids and Orks just a to name a few.
And I started by drafting up a new army list and when I was almost finished, I realised that it lacked a bit of long range anti-tank (the one unit of lootas wasnt really going to cut it.) So I decided to put some WarBuggies in (with twin linked rokkit launchers).
After realising that the current WarBuggy model quite dated, (being the one from second edition). So converting a model kit or scratch building seemed the only way forward. As I had done plenty of converting from model kits for the army in the past. I decided to try my hand at scratch building one.
This is what I have come up with so far....
Then glued the parts together, and made a seet of handle bars out of an Orc spear arm.
attached some trukk wheels, that I had left over from another conversion I did a while ago...

I created the basic shape of the body out of plasticard.

There is still a ton of work left on this, mainly to stop it looking like a box with wheels. I also need to figure out a way of making the rokkit launcher turret.
anyway thats all from me for now.
