Death Star Trench Run Video Battle Report
Hi all,
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Combatzone-Scenery and playing on their excellent Death Star Trench Run Board.
I had a great time playing the Trench Run Scenario, so much so that we filmed a Battle Report.

Sneak Peak into the dungeon
Hi all,
just a little sneak peak at what I have been working on, some board sections for Warhammer Quest....
I have plans to make a full set of tiles with magnetized doors. The only thing I think I'm going to struggle with is one of the Objective rooms (The Fighting Pit) as this one has a lower floor section.
Well see how I go

http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-11th-Legion/494046703991457
I have been quite busy the last few weekends and I have a new piece of terrain on the go. This time its another ruined building. But what's different I hear you cry.... Well this time its the size and hopefully the building should have quite a different look to my other foamboard buildings/ruins.
Below is a few working progress shots:

11th Legion programme of works
Evening all,
By now you're all aware of the upcoming grudge match re-runs between the mighty Crimson Fists (spud) and the speed-obsessed orks (Deathbringa). While we're waiting for the initiation of hostilities, I'll fill you in on what else we have in store for you.

DeathBringa's Tererain (Ruin part 3)
Well its been a while since my last post, and work is still progressing on the Ork buggy (but so far nothing to show you on that, waiting for parts).
But i have been cracking on with getting the terrain project up and running again. So this is going to be a bit of a update of new pieces started and older ones finished off!
I have finally got my most recent ruin finished and I must say I am pleased with it:

I am particularly impressed with how the brick work turned out on the alcove.
I also weathered the top of the building with several different washes.

There is obviously quite a bit more work left to do on this as well.
And finally we have been thinking about getting into Flames of War. All my terrain for 28mm heroic scale models. So some new terrain is needed.
The first bits of terrain are some hedges, built following a tutorial from a great youtube channel RubbishInRubbishOut its where I learnt how to make my foam board ruins (and the 'Goop' for the floors..), lots of useful videos.
and these are so easy to make, just with a bit of clump foliage and a wooden tongue depressor. So I cranked out quite a few:

I also made a slight bit of progress on my final foam board ruin (that I have built)
I also recruited Credhnan to paint the Cities of Death ruin that has been waiting to be painted for ages, and I think he is doing a very good job of it...
Something that has been lacking from my gaming boards is hills, so I made use of the foam I have had in my garage for quite some time to make my first hill:

DeathBringa's Ruins (Part 3)
Hi Guys,
Back at work now, so less time to work on stuff :-(, but nevermind.
Back to the point I have made some more progress on my latest ruin and this should be the last stage before it gets undercoated and I can start painting the thing.
So what was this last stage I hear you cry?? It was the 'Gooping' Stage.
Now going from the blank expression that are probably on all your faces I had better explain myself...
What is goop..... Its basically a plaster, PVA, sawdust, sealent & water mix that I put round the outside of the ruin and in the corners of the inside.
Here's a few pics of my work, enjoy:

Now I am going to seal it on with watered down PVA glue.

Now I covered up a bit more of the wooden floor than I originally intended, but I will see how it goes.

I have also been magnetizing yet another Predator tank (standard partern this time) and will upload some pics soon.
Bye for now, DeathBringa out.

DeathBringa's Terrain
Hi all,
Just thought I would upload some pics of my completed terrain pieces to give you all something to look at:
Now the first piece is made from a great set called platformer which you can assemble however you want. Its also quite cheap as the building below was made from using a small part of one of the box sets.
Now this is one of the first pieces that I started using my home made flock made from sawdust and emulsion paint. This is a pic of my green blend, with space marine for scale purposes (which I keep forgetting to put in on the other ones).
This next set is some bocage or large hedgerows. These I learnt to build following a tutorial on youtube by "TheTerrainGuy" and i think they came out quite nicely.
Thats all for Now folks, I have some more pics to post up soon....

Next up is a set of Ageis defence lines from Games Workshop. This is one of the last peices of terrain that I actually bought before I decided that I was going to try and make a load from scratch.
This has been based and designed so that they all fit together in various configurations.

DeathBringa's Ruins (Part 2)
I have been cracking on with my current terrain project, one of hopefully many ruined buildings.
So here goes....
I decided to do something new with the flooring that I haven't done on any of my previous ruined buildings.
As was going to be some kind of Cathedral type building I thought I should do something different with it.
So I went for hardwood flooring:
This was achieved by using lolly pop sticks cut to two different sizes.
I also decided to add a pile of rubble at the back of the ruin.
Here's a few pics of the progress so far...

Next I added a wooden fence with a gate to the front of the building. Also a good use of marines to hold the posts up while the glue dried. The fence was made out of more lolly pop sticks cut in half length-ways.
The side of the fence was completed by adding a broken section.
Here's a few pics of the progress so far...
Thats all from me for now...

DeathBringa's ruins (WIP)
Hi all,
I have been making quite a few foam core buildings for a new board I have planned. It's going to be an urban type board with interchangeable buildings. All made from foam board (or foam core, depending on where you are from).
My latest building project has been coming along nicely, I have been working on the Cathedral type building and have managed to get it textured and based. I have also added a pavement to the base for that urban look.
The texture is baking powder (don't know where I got the idea for that from!)

I decided to extend the building down the side...
I have tried to use a brick effect that I learnt from MiniWargaming.com in an alcove...
just hope I dont ruin (no pun intended) it when I spray undercoat it (Might do that bit first by hand).
The pavement is just card from GW boxes cut into 1" strips and then glued on in sections.
Another new tecnique is the use of cross stitch mesh for a the flat roof, very cheap material, 70p for a sheet slightly bigger than A4. Will have to see how it turns out.
