<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">Hope you had another fun and eventful week in wargaming. For me not so much, had a bit of burn out at the start of the week. However the last few days have been fast paced painting of Orks (still of the Space Crusade Variety.) I have been watching a lot of videos from a speed painter on YouTube about painting with washes (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiYtSObBAeI&t=770s" target="_blank">Miguel Garcia Fernandez HeroQuest Series</a>). The skin and shoulder pads have been painted with washes after a zenithal undercoat (kinda, probably too much white for that term). Once I decided on the rest of the colours for the Ork's clothing (Thanks for the Suggestion from my close friends Spud and Adam). Also from a meme about a stealthy Ork wearing purple... This is what I came up with:</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZR1tYNeaNH7RrchgW1mBBLMRoS3gVeQSGRcsT_tp05DPCOGHuCbi4zbyLejPehQPOeBUiQopmufnKkYrG5ch5fGiV2zALKNxKXFmJaAHEkhf7km4tusBML1c9FCpOYPgmsIOWXZ-nYk/s1600/inCollage_20190227_164810607.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgZR1tYNeaNH7RrchgW1mBBLMRoS3gVeQSGRcsT_tp05DPCOGHuCbi4zbyLejPehQPOeBUiQopmufnKkYrG5ch5fGiV2zALKNxKXFmJaAHEkhf7km4tusBML1c9FCpOYPgmsIOWXZ-nYk/s640/inCollage_20190227_164810607.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">Amazing the difference one colour makes to the look of a project, going from looking very unfinished to looking almost ready for the table. The boots were also painted using washes (although I think I might need to add another layer of Nuln Oil to them. Lastly for now some Leadbelcher for the metallic parts.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">So until next week here is the last WIP shot of the unit:</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>

<span style="color: cyan;">Hello everybody,</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">Welcome to another weekly ramble through my wargaming life...</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">This week it has been very quiet in my man cave as I haven't really had the energy to continue with any of my projects. I did however have chance to root through my supply of unbuilt miniatures and kinda plan a warband for King's of War Vanguard.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">These are the miniatures I'm going use.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: cyan;">I was also lucky enough to have some time to play a few games this week. So I decided to go back to my wargaming roots and broke out some Space Crusade.</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">What it's been another week in wargaming and I've been rather busy. I've had a case of shiny syndrome and instead of painting the air speeders I have painted the Wookies. The fact that I had five bases ready to use could have something to do with it. Although I have only got one base ready. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlCGrI3ifTjprmBoy0386RbbHSZDed7ycx-A-5R0qDx7h05q8c5PbeeItQraAtk-QcSmCpJuFZWndzFHP491S8_PkRDwMAD1k05_Y-RQSBoimSA17BY3HS3vV59Xc8CtWd0xfuAm1pVlY/s1600/inCollage_20190211_232229351.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlCGrI3ifTjprmBoy0386RbbHSZDed7ycx-A-5R0qDx7h05q8c5PbeeItQraAtk-QcSmCpJuFZWndzFHP491S8_PkRDwMAD1k05_Y-RQSBoimSA17BY3HS3vV59Xc8CtWd0xfuAm1pVlY/s320/inCollage_20190211_232229351.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Not content with the mounting pile of minis I already have, I took a trip to my local game store that I've never been to before Leodis games. It was a bit of a strange place with no clear staff member no they didn't seem to be a obvious place to pay for minis. although with the store being only 10 minutes away it seems like a very good place for supplies on the odd cheeky miniature. So I treated myself...</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT961RoN6_Sv5ZVVpft4728zbVuxKjv7jk3DYMXCti4qNTOKR3tWlezAOwHvTdazJ_DcnPYv7jPyGCpSVVg0jqCnMCYneljcVq0FdoJHC2vMIr9MBHJzTINIRAw5tejKVJTkOYQUro14I/s1600/IMG_20190209_160426.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="756" data-original-width="1600" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT961RoN6_Sv5ZVVpft4728zbVuxKjv7jk3DYMXCti4qNTOKR3tWlezAOwHvTdazJ_DcnPYv7jPyGCpSVVg0jqCnMCYneljcVq0FdoJHC2vMIr9MBHJzTINIRAw5tejKVJTkOYQUro14I/s640/IMG_20190209_160426.jpg" width="640" /></span></a></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">So now I have a bag full of bases to do so I'd best crack out the air drying clay and get started, see you next week.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Thanks</span></div>

</div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Now then fellow wargamers, another week has passed and it has been a very busy week but not a great deal of painting. I decided it was time I should be using my desk for its intended purpose and not as a dumping ground for projects that I'm not currently working on. So a big tidy was on the cards. It was well worth it and soon I will be able to fold away the small table that I've doing all my painting on and be able to walk round my gaming table again...</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG2ea-x_mJoGl4A6xTW_fLriZvm4uPQRWZSvOUKNzx_IcJhJChFazaXtOifE-ZXQjFpoScSGFBudIU4zWIBkxcSzOpzwY1OwAq8lsqUOLx2o7ZtehC7M3sOJ5JAy6QzGYqdm8O3DDrNPk/s1600/IMG_20190201_001833.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: cyan;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6ZhMd6iFFM-5eBPpYjrpvW0YNif9KDDSMjMQkFxrjAXQRnrR8O4vY6pnY0Wd7XP8guXK_ISmUt8ZCtnUZBsvx3LBN-XbMOjcTsIQa1gkQ21h5GtEzD5w7HqUa9fq2xCbbhr_G3jbluTA/s1600/IMG_20190201_001833.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="756" data-original-width="1600" height="188" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6ZhMd6iFFM-5eBPpYjrpvW0YNif9KDDSMjMQkFxrjAXQRnrR8O4vY6pnY0Wd7XP8guXK_ISmUt8ZCtnUZBsvx3LBN-XbMOjcTsIQa1gkQ21h5GtEzD5w7HqUa9fq2xCbbhr_G3jbluTA/s400/IMG_20190201_001833.jpg" width="400" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">But it hasn't just been a week of tidying... I decided to go to Vapnartak in York and try and sell a few things...</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht40nQuU9ug4eKvHSusjvfrXuKQ10gi0D43r03za-knP9eTFe3bHVFmpfQedIkN0NBoIOUqvNjz0G5PvM5ex37YMR0m3L8w1DgFXRvMP4TaxfhvqNuVyZ-tQVl4NlERx_06ANLR521r4I/s1600/inCollage_20190206_133703999.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht40nQuU9ug4eKvHSusjvfrXuKQ10gi0D43r03za-knP9eTFe3bHVFmpfQedIkN0NBoIOUqvNjz0G5PvM5ex37YMR0m3L8w1DgFXRvMP4TaxfhvqNuVyZ-tQVl4NlERx_06ANLR521r4I/s400/inCollage_20190206_133703999.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;">As you can see it was quite a good day of selling and I managed to come away from the event with a small profit and some new units for Star Wars Legion. So I got myself a unit of Wookies and some Rebel Commandos. I even found time to build and prime them (I even base coated the Wookies).</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>

<span style="color: cyan;"><span id="goog_1175673628"></span><span id="goog_1175673629"></span>But wait there's more. As the I got the main body colour done on the Air Speeders, just needs some panel lines doing to break it all up...</span><br />

<span style="color: cyan;">That's all for this week, hopefully they will look a bit more colourful this time next week.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">I was continually surprised and impressed by the level of detail on all these models. Every time I thought I had finished a particular stage on the squad, I would find another little detail hidden away somewhere. Although I'm sure a lot of these wouldn't be very visible painted or not, once I know its there - I have to do something about it! (This made painting the unit take even longer!)</span><br />
<br />

<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">(For some reason the flash liked these four!) To add a bit of variety I decided to use some spot colours on pipes / wires.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">For the most part though, I have kept the colours fairly general for these models, so that I would be able to use them in any of my Chaos armies (Thousand Sons, Nurgle or World Eaters / Khorne) - though I think they will see the most use with Nurgle.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">And finally, a shot of the whole squad (apologies for poorer resolution).</span><br />

I decided to give the helmets a satin varnish, but I'm not 100% sold on the finish. Might have to gloss them.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UCQ-QPhCrkSnfI1Lkop-qatvJRVvS3UGRZuYVltalAlo8_xzA86TKT5VcBqnDVtgWXRPinxETL7johvikr5fNlX99vUfR-pn-JZz6IqLzR72hw02LViZMLH1qw4A0-WLyZoel4qU2GA/s1600/IMG_20190125_134508.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="756" data-original-width="1600" height="188" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UCQ-QPhCrkSnfI1Lkop-qatvJRVvS3UGRZuYVltalAlo8_xzA86TKT5VcBqnDVtgWXRPinxETL7johvikr5fNlX99vUfR-pn-JZz6IqLzR72hw02LViZMLH1qw4A0-WLyZoel4qU2GA/s400/IMG_20190125_134508.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">The pistols were a nice change from the usual colours I normally use on the guns. I'm also running out of bases, so I think it might be time for another batch to be made and painted up. So on to the next unit which is going to be the Air Speeders. Although I've not been able to start them until a more appropriate colour arrives through the post.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhahiDqdRHQGXGHybFAKvydUunTeKalX-WPsd2lThbufOC75yhgFOW4jgZF4FBnjTSIRob4RfUduQ5SO7Lzzgk1i-zC6z9vA0keHI9Lgy3wgeoQE8yYJ_-QUsZ3Yia8qc2wGmjCjftBAqE/s1600/IMG_20190126_003605.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="756" data-original-width="1600" height="188" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhahiDqdRHQGXGHybFAKvydUunTeKalX-WPsd2lThbufOC75yhgFOW4jgZF4FBnjTSIRob4RfUduQ5SO7Lzzgk1i-zC6z9vA0keHI9Lgy3wgeoQE8yYJ_-QUsZ3Yia8qc2wGmjCjftBAqE/s400/IMG_20190126_003605.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: cyan;">Now they are primed believe it or not. So hopefully the new paint shouldn't take too long to arrive and I should be able to replicate what I do on the Air Speeders on the tiny rebel fighters for Star Wars Armada.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: cyan;">So see you all next week when I hopefully have something to show you all.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I think it's about time to revive the page and use it for what it was created for. Rather than creating posts on Facebook, which wile it was easy lacked the ability to post a story with pictures in the right place and made it difficult for me to relate to the pictures used in each post.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">Well back to what's happening now...</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">This is the continuation of my weekly posts on Facebook (hence why it's starting at 20). While I'll be sharing the posts on Facebook the details will be here.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">So what have I been working on this week?</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;">I have finished my Imperial fighters for Star Wars Armada with a few alternate paint schemes to represent elite squadrons...</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsHzsW9g-F4LY523aTKrOkdKwczgFc0ezahvsbbDVqH0hIYcJXmdbCttLNaDlb0n86pNLJUaMBXZ1Zb1QOUxGlhQMk8zSl6r-tAMC0c1yJccjE0ttR3HHzL03E4Igzc4tov20jtZb5aI0/s1600/inCollage_20190121_123638565.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsHzsW9g-F4LY523aTKrOkdKwczgFc0ezahvsbbDVqH0hIYcJXmdbCttLNaDlb0n86pNLJUaMBXZ1Zb1QOUxGlhQMk8zSl6r-tAMC0c1yJccjE0ttR3HHzL03E4Igzc4tov20jtZb5aI0/s320/inCollage_20190121_123638565.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;">These will be added to the two core boxes worth of Tie Fighters that I painted years ago.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;">But as I had an awful lot of Tie Fighters that I would probably never use all of them in a game I decided to do this...</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivSDafUR6bmJZerZFPNZ2nqgqfAEdtv-1w_I3K-eK6SbxYYIMYm4sq3zgVKVB0c-ZKHBUr3fFxR_nSGhVoOHVuk5N9Z-2bmjq5TldZhXcJq-v6uyKwI9yaYCPAUu-yKsFbQnVVLES9a2I/s1600/IMG_20190119_004433.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="756" data-original-width="1600" height="151" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivSDafUR6bmJZerZFPNZ2nqgqfAEdtv-1w_I3K-eK6SbxYYIMYm4sq3zgVKVB0c-ZKHBUr3fFxR_nSGhVoOHVuk5N9Z-2bmjq5TldZhXcJq-v6uyKwI9yaYCPAUu-yKsFbQnVVLES9a2I/s320/IMG_20190119_004433.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Darth Vader's squadron! It made more sense to me to have him flanked by two Tie Fighters as he was in a New Hope. So what did I do after this did I start my Rebel Fighters so that I could start playing this great game?</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">Of course not! Like most wargamers I get distracted very easily and started painting my Fleet Troopers that have been sat primed on my painting table for quite some time.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBYGgQwGzVs5DPCg4epGqIFzQo2Y-7d1nCk7WarpDCxnl1pwoMsyjb-89wpu2QljB8PvqU79ejilApNX0VoOLPNIHGJW_PbYhMyCE_6f3WZSycIhYVFcPHwOKe_naye2X07hyphenhyphenpFdNssWI/s1600/IMG_20190121_013133.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" data-original-height="756" data-original-width="1600" height="151" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBYGgQwGzVs5DPCg4epGqIFzQo2Y-7d1nCk7WarpDCxnl1pwoMsyjb-89wpu2QljB8PvqU79ejilApNX0VoOLPNIHGJW_PbYhMyCE_6f3WZSycIhYVFcPHwOKe_naye2X07hyphenhyphenpFdNssWI/s320/IMG_20190121_013133.jpg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;">I got the main colours blocked in. This was done in a very productive late Sunday night painting session. The Fleet Troopers as you can tell are not painted in film accurate colours as I felt this would look out of place with the rest of my army. So I'm going to continue with these guys it's and hopefully have them finished for next week's post. Until then stay safe people.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: cyan;">Thanks</span><br />

Today marks the completion of a unit that has been in the works for a long time - Chaos Cultists!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghVZYeDU6V1mTiBvul0jmASs6b1z2aNF1MfLSxfUDq6Pd8NwMP5gpH9i3JFP2bAsqzLwhi5AEad_x5aZcWHfzxgKoMy9AXt4-Z7FQOmCgztxAMY_XAaKrmwh6VCH6_Qoy5EB2VET-8YoY/s1600/DSCF5354.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghVZYeDU6V1mTiBvul0jmASs6b1z2aNF1MfLSxfUDq6Pd8NwMP5gpH9i3JFP2bAsqzLwhi5AEad_x5aZcWHfzxgKoMy9AXt4-Z7FQOmCgztxAMY_XAaKrmwh6VCH6_Qoy5EB2VET-8YoY/s1600/DSCF5354.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">The unit was painted in stages - one colour at a time on all the models. This didn't get boring though, as I split the unit into mini batches of models that were alike, meaning that I could get a consistent finish on each one and also have a change after every 3-4 models.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie2HOG85LwuTeCj8RNVxIMkv2vqXUJOQK0oTtyUM2lBayiTbgOVqOzhLeTr0-DdvfJl50Rye1xYaNheE-JjYy0JsY6eJQlnJx-YM6f3w6HbMhubK0wcQWIoiWz9o1Tmu87_7cnBds_97c/s1600/DSCF5355.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEie2HOG85LwuTeCj8RNVxIMkv2vqXUJOQK0oTtyUM2lBayiTbgOVqOzhLeTr0-DdvfJl50Rye1xYaNheE-JjYy0JsY6eJQlnJx-YM6f3w6HbMhubK0wcQWIoiWz9o1Tmu87_7cnBds_97c/s1600/DSCF5355.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">The model at the front here was the very first one I did for the squad - several months ago! It is a bit frustrating that I can't remember how I got the base that colour!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZLwDaTgwAJMgsGdJjhsczB7Km_5Npk2aBqv53rZ5iIevti8DC9df6hFvyslUjp_UwvloCs8ueeXUx7Jtyg8nYYzy0PsTKIDQz2StnB3z8BLoJHtgEM1QVzGl2xtCvXo7kHOyDUpXtsk4/s1600/DSCF5356.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZLwDaTgwAJMgsGdJjhsczB7Km_5Npk2aBqv53rZ5iIevti8DC9df6hFvyslUjp_UwvloCs8ueeXUx7Jtyg8nYYzy0PsTKIDQz2StnB3z8BLoJHtgEM1QVzGl2xtCvXo7kHOyDUpXtsk4/s1600/DSCF5356.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Finally for today, the Cultist champion. Next time, the heavy weapons and remaining members of the unit. I'll also see if I can fit all of them into the same picture.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">The squad was built from the new tactical squad box. I have used the new 32mm bases for the command squad only. This makes them stand out more when compared to the rest of the army, and avoids the problem of mixed base sizes within other squads.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3tcSX_TFqWIfsyjmusc9bD9p4jRJ1u-ABL1Jmgcci4KZMaQHNjLYZ5oK2gPYbrp4S6_yliUOMAsLQ2K-dg9kBJxg4T86gY1c1NEi3X0WorZ_RnTvzG9GJx5edrSWMT4yhUXVDgIrxg8E/s1600/DSCF5204.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3tcSX_TFqWIfsyjmusc9bD9p4jRJ1u-ABL1Jmgcci4KZMaQHNjLYZ5oK2gPYbrp4S6_yliUOMAsLQ2K-dg9kBJxg4T86gY1c1NEi3X0WorZ_RnTvzG9GJx5edrSWMT4yhUXVDgIrxg8E/s1600/DSCF5204.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I had run out of apothecary arms for this model, and so constructed my own by combining a power fist and a cut-down chainsword.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV_-yM8kfSHNaF78XMeXhaQgjl_aXTK8exEBjDCCcJgRkVOz241Vor1elw5vnH7n51nPfTBhQFVSn7nb9l5t5VNDF7sRVx6gh4FLnzpt22vfZORVLxEOh-MyIrLbyzoX0mUQqdvlff9jk/s1600/DSCF5206.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV_-yM8kfSHNaF78XMeXhaQgjl_aXTK8exEBjDCCcJgRkVOz241Vor1elw5vnH7n51nPfTBhQFVSn7nb9l5t5VNDF7sRVx6gh4FLnzpt22vfZORVLxEOh-MyIrLbyzoX0mUQqdvlff9jk/s1600/DSCF5206.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">I was quite pleased with how the champions sword turned out, and may well finish it off with a coat of gloss varnish at some point. The lightning effect is something I eventually plan to apply to all power weapons across my different armies (though in different colours).</span><br />
<br />

<span style="color: cyan;">With my first Dropzone Commander tournament fast approaching I decided to get some much needed practice on one of the scenarios in the tournament pack. Spud and Aaron were happy to oblige.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">As there was quite helpfully 10 scenarios in the Hawk Wargames 2015 tournament pack we decided to just roll a d10 and see which one fate chose. So we rolled up the "Search" scenario, which has a deployment map that looks like it has the measles. </span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa429/dan40000/DANDINO/Searcg_zpsbaugwudj.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa429/dan40000/DANDINO/Searcg_zpsbaugwudj.png" height="275" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Although after discovering that we only had 20 possible objective markers and the scenario required us to mark some as real we decided to go for the 5 out of 20 to be real. No we could have mixed them up and placed them our selves to be really tactical... but we decided to be lazy and get Aaron to place them for us.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">We also filmed a battle report of this game:</span></div>
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NIXsmxeCnSI" width="640"></iframe>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">So I don't spoil the results of the battle report I'll put my closing thoughts below:</span></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><span style="color: cyan;">So after that game what have I learnt? getting the initiative is vital, and I am going to try using a higher level commander in the next test game. This should also provide me with more useful command cards (having a bigger hand of cards).</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">The Athena (fast mover) didn't quite have the impact I expected, now this could be down to bad luck. Especially as it failed to turn up on its first attack run. So I might take it out the list.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">More Apollos are needed, I don't think I can get enough of this unit with its ability to get where I need it and not really needing a transport (thus saving much needed points).</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Stealth Missiles are not an upgrade worth the points, unless I have nothing else to spend the points on.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Finally I think I might try taking a second unit of Sirens as they are only 28 points more than a unit of immortals (after transports etc.)</span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="color: cyan;">Thanks for reading/watching</span></div>

<span style="background-color: black; color: white;">The weapon is a twin-linked devourer, made from spare gaunt and warrior / tyrant arms and weapons. I have seen other conversions of this weapon that use the fleshborer hive arms (legs?) from the Tervigon / Tyrannofex kit, however I wanted my version to still be a recognisable version of the original weapon, simply up-scaled.</span> <br />

Typhus!</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Painting this model has been an ambition for some time now, although whether he'll see much use in games is another thing. Couldn't resist though!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9ZmWFCIojcOCRUJHOSfqd25_tQ5QRqyvY3qOvyzR8fhJm4nAc66tSM5jBw2PrRakRiDk6xajodYOmWt0mxgDaUfI0GQpV9jCxhnQZIwKq-Ru8dXIJhZrTjePGENvy8l-koisHLy8iTkc/s1600/DSCF5219.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9ZmWFCIojcOCRUJHOSfqd25_tQ5QRqyvY3qOvyzR8fhJm4nAc66tSM5jBw2PrRakRiDk6xajodYOmWt0mxgDaUfI0GQpV9jCxhnQZIwKq-Ru8dXIJhZrTjePGENvy8l-koisHLy8iTkc/s1600/DSCF5219.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">This one is very much still a work in progress, as every time I look at him I see an area I would like to improve, or make look even dirtier!</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><span style="background-color: black;"></span><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">That's all for now,</span><br />

This time, the first Havoc squad. This is one of two identically armed squads, with 4 autocannons in each.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDl9u8DzE3YsV7E0BpFf8z_oAvb24DGtMsARYEiNsRImdcIHGEmPDhlThz_dQYQn7bG0Cj_kQWiC3UDNYdfqrJPykVPzWKOi6tEgz1LiDd-c6mQn3-wy2lfUB4pCRHKHnk7I9y8WQlSds/s1600/DSCF5221.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDl9u8DzE3YsV7E0BpFf8z_oAvb24DGtMsARYEiNsRImdcIHGEmPDhlThz_dQYQn7bG0Cj_kQWiC3UDNYdfqrJPykVPzWKOi6tEgz1LiDd-c6mQn3-wy2lfUB4pCRHKHnk7I9y8WQlSds/s1600/DSCF5221.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">The autocannons are from the Forge World pack, which look very impressive lined up on a gaming table! The points cost for such a unit is very cheap too, and they've been doing well in all the games I've used them in.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixMVEs3FpzLDgj54CC4vs34KsBXkoRu8NXuw7Qn41C5Q3gr7y9dJ4b8mySXKTFG9tVOVlwoudO4tbdWO34_UFMiQnK6zP42CXgJoyyHV3DHWoVl2irOTco54t8ln4bTyilNqxI70FvQUc/s1600/DSCF5222.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixMVEs3FpzLDgj54CC4vs34KsBXkoRu8NXuw7Qn41C5Q3gr7y9dJ4b8mySXKTFG9tVOVlwoudO4tbdWO34_UFMiQnK6zP42CXgJoyyHV3DHWoVl2irOTco54t8ln4bTyilNqxI70FvQUc/s1600/DSCF5222.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span>
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Finally, the whole squad. I've gone for a slightly less grimy and corroded look with this squad, as opposed to my approach with Plague Marines - who will be making an appearance at some point in the future.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOb9TSjyiKFCfEmzpSBOwXM9vXX7Qji68zAsg1cobjDRllM0JqI9vnQe3nBH0BzxqjsHtpPR80sn3e8siTCB2wX3qJCmk5eMLt_H2KVSEWsNzwLFxFjTF4vMacvifqolViiTnRotdc-UY/s1600/DSCF5220.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOb9TSjyiKFCfEmzpSBOwXM9vXX7Qji68zAsg1cobjDRllM0JqI9vnQe3nBH0BzxqjsHtpPR80sn3e8siTCB2wX3qJCmk5eMLt_H2KVSEWsNzwLFxFjTF4vMacvifqolViiTnRotdc-UY/s1600/DSCF5220.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>

<span style="color: cyan;">Time for another painting update, and more Nurgle bikers. First up, the squad champion.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoFvTziNU1T9iOMBnzr7EiKMrMOOZ1R7KWus1_p9LQtGwm3WmLXYKM6qiEZ5IzAsZnhz5hBGxnUP1_RJSq5gRc8_1tl9gWztKHtbwgy6kNxIutI6LszDgT52VPtkUj_sTn-uxeWM8hkhM/s1600/DSCF5216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoFvTziNU1T9iOMBnzr7EiKMrMOOZ1R7KWus1_p9LQtGwm3WmLXYKM6qiEZ5IzAsZnhz5hBGxnUP1_RJSq5gRc8_1tl9gWztKHtbwgy6kNxIutI6LszDgT52VPtkUj_sTn-uxeWM8hkhM/s1600/DSCF5216.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"> The power scythe was made from the handle of a large power axe and a plasticard blade. I decided to have this bike rearing up on one wheel as it looked more impressive that way when I was gluing it together.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZQkg2h9l2q2GJPnnKs8eNSrX95WH1MWnRHToIoMWdTp5Jv7oiQRJU-PmDWM60vYf1pYKPeCNwzlTCHj-5jre0QAUVZq9B1Ciu7SgeebzPo_QzbJISnAKPgf3A2a8sF6bMu06N2_RpKik/s1600/DSCF5215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZQkg2h9l2q2GJPnnKs8eNSrX95WH1MWnRHToIoMWdTp5Jv7oiQRJU-PmDWM60vYf1pYKPeCNwzlTCHj-5jre0QAUVZq9B1Ciu7SgeebzPo_QzbJISnAKPgf3A2a8sF6bMu06N2_RpKik/s1600/DSCF5215.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"> The champion's body was another from the Forge World Plague Marine upgrade set.</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;">Next up, a squad member with melta gun. This was also the first model I tried the rust effect on.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBCBHmS5xdn-bPark1bQkD83-dFDNSp6bVoEJRDPE3vYYohtrtVoM42tTHp9Cqq43Ym_jYz_18J-usCEXJpV9OpiDV7KTfsMgZotTrb2_Msx4RvDBWVICgbVW98l2D9OnaPRRlhU2EDnY/s1600/DSCF5217.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBCBHmS5xdn-bPark1bQkD83-dFDNSp6bVoEJRDPE3vYYohtrtVoM42tTHp9Cqq43Ym_jYz_18J-usCEXJpV9OpiDV7KTfsMgZotTrb2_Msx4RvDBWVICgbVW98l2D9OnaPRRlhU2EDnY/s1600/DSCF5217.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"> And finally, a shot of the whole squad. The only things left to finish are the bases. For these, I want to go for a red 'mars' effect. Any suggestions would be welcomed! An attempt at this can be seen on part of the champion's base, but I'm not sure whether I like how it turned out.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be going through the (many) things I've been working on.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">So lets start with my Nurgle Chaos Space Marines. These were started over 2 years ago, but this is the first time I've shown any here. First up is the Lord on bike.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI8tGth9pdruhxR6YP05kcLMQiZ9jKVyZ_a6upkrTeGfbusCyo0qzIEhg1dJ1zYloR87PpcyDSYqZbdzblg5E-ma36eRg3DlhQRRHcQQjgJ_Tfc4059-C7IW3YHIBle53B6EHqyUHAbH4/s1600/DSCF5211.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI8tGth9pdruhxR6YP05kcLMQiZ9jKVyZ_a6upkrTeGfbusCyo0qzIEhg1dJ1zYloR87PpcyDSYqZbdzblg5E-ma36eRg3DlhQRRHcQQjgJ_Tfc4059-C7IW3YHIBle53B6EHqyUHAbH4/s1600/DSCF5211.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: cyan;"> <span style="background-color: black;">The body is from the Forge World Plague Marine set, but with a head-swap as I felt he'd do better at issuing orders without his jaw hanging off! This did however leave a fleshy lump on his neck, which I decided to leave and simply paint it to look sore / diseased.</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: cyan;"> <span style="background-color: black;">The back-banner was a spare from a standard squad box, with the pole supporting it made from a bit of sprue.</span> </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9lo7pFzL2PLrcwFXtaiXvLkT8wGnCkqrG22C20L_7L9tcyb3kPQhB4Kfx9617fXuJBX0323LMNgHxR7b7w-6_pC0PR7mBDk4CbRJsZHFv99P6VEwUOyRWGtQN4AgBtgIxP6NswZm5EOw/s1600/DSCF5214.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: cyan;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9lo7pFzL2PLrcwFXtaiXvLkT8wGnCkqrG22C20L_7L9tcyb3kPQhB4Kfx9617fXuJBX0323LMNgHxR7b7w-6_pC0PR7mBDk4CbRJsZHFv99P6VEwUOyRWGtQN4AgBtgIxP6NswZm5EOw/s1600/DSCF5214.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">With this army, I have been practising painting rust. The new(ish) technical paints have been a great help with this, and I've been pretty pleased with the results!</span><br />
<span style="color: cyan;"><span style="background-color: black;"></span><br /></span>

<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="color: cyan;">I had a great time playing the <a href="http://www.outworld-studio.com/xwing/pdf/Dagobahs-DSTR-v01.pdf" target="_blank">Trench Run Scenario</a>, so much so that we filmed a Battle Report.</span></span><br />

<div>
<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="color: cyan;">So wave 4 has arrived and I was lucky enough to grab one of each from my Local Games Store 'Travelling Man'. They have a great X-Wing group there who meet up once a month. I filmed the final from the Assault on Imdaar Alpha which didn't feature me unfortunately. Perhaps next time, that will be coming soon on the YouTube channel.</span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="color: cyan;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div>
<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="color: cyan;">Anyway back to the point....</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="color: cyan;">Here are the unboxing videos for each of the wave 4 ships:</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Long time since I posted here (issues with Google Chrome...) anyway less about my problems.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Here is the unboxing of the HWK-290. Now there will be those of us that recognise the ship number or some of the included pilots (Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors). These two are from the classic (well in my opinion) Star Wars computer game Dark Forces (and its later sequels in the Jedi Knight Series). For those not familiar with the game or the character imagine a cross between Luke Skywalker and Han Solo.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Anyway enough of me babbling on, here is the video:</span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6yTbvpNS0MQ" width="640"></iframe><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;"></span><br />
<span style="background-color: black; color: cyan;">Thanks for checking this out, don't forget to drop us a comment of what you think of this...</span><br />

The vehicle itself is now finished, with the metal areas tidied up and given a black wash (and some brown round the engine area). I also used pale yellow drybrushing paint for the edge highlights, which I am very pleased with. Here is the finished result:<br />
